As another year comes to a close and 2018 is gearing up, many in the Tampa Bay area want to get out and celebrate. Whether you’ll be ringing in the new year with your young family or celebrating as only adults can, there’s something for everyone. Like we have done for the past three years, we’ve rounded up the best events and entertainment to ring in 2018. Happy New Year!

Family Friendly

  • The Mommy Spot’s 4th Annual NOON Year’s Eve Celebration | 4465 W Gandy Blvd #600, Tampa, FL33611 |  10 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. | features DJ Jake Dela Cruz, juice toast and balloon drop at noon.
  • Riverwalk Fireworks | Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park 601 Old Water St, Tampa, FL 33602 | 10 p.m. – midnight.

  • New Year’s Eve at Club Prana | 1619 E 7th Ave., Tampa, FL 33605 | 9 p.m. – 3 a.m. | general admission is $30 for a single ticket, $50 for couple tickets.
  • The Rooftop Eve | 107 N Franklin St, Tampa, FL 33602 | 9 p.m. – 2 a.m. | general admission is $250 and includes open bar, champagne, dessert, and entertainment.
  • New Year’s Eve Fireworks Cruise | Yacht StarShip & Yacht StarShip IV | 10:30 p.m. – 1 a.m. | more info found here.
  • Aqua Eve | The Florida Aquarium | 9 p.m. – 1 a.m. | general admission is $30 and includes food & drinks, champagne toast, fireworks, and access to all exhibits | more info found here.

New Years Events In Tampa Bay

Whether you’re ready to say “see you late” to 2016 or you want to squeeze every last moment out, Tampa Bay is where it’s at for ringing in the New Year. From family friendly events to adult only parties, there’s something for everyone. We’ve rounded up some of the best New Years Events in the Tampa Bay area so make your plans!

Family Friendly New Years Events

  • Downtown Countdown at Glazer Children’s Museum; event begins at 12:00 p.m.
  • First Night in St. Petersburg; this event is celebrating it’s 24th year and covers multiple arts and performance centers in St. Petersburg; buttons must be purchased to participate prices range from $10-$15 for adults and $5-$10 for children; more details can be found at www.firstnightstpete.com.
  • Noon Year’s Eve is back again at the Lowry Park Zoo. Live entertainment, games, activities, and character appearances help ring in the new year for young attendees. Noisemakers, hats, and a juice toast are included in your admission ticket. More information can be found at lowryparkzoo.org/events.
  • Light It Up! Fireworks on Clearwater Beach. Pull up a chair or a blank on Clearwater Beach and welcome in the new year with a fireworks display over the Gulf. Admission is free.

New Years Events in Tampa Bay

Adults Only New Years Events

  • Tampa Theatre NYE Wrap Party. The inaugural event turns the Tampa Theatre into a frat house for an epic house party. Event runs from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Tickets are $99 per person with a $10 discount for Tampa Theatre members. “Animal House” style costumes are encourages.   • Black & White New Year’s Eve hosted by Travr. The 9th annual event takes place at The Hyde Out and begins at 8:00 p.m. and goes until 3:00 a.m. Tickets are $15 and include door gifts, a champagne fountain, midnight balloon drop, and champagne toast. More details are available here.
  • The Blind Goat’s New Years Eve Party. This party includes an all night open bar including a top shelf selection, unlimited dinner until 11:00 p.m. and a champagne toast at midnight. Tickets are $79 per person and can be purchased here.
  • NYE Red Carpet Affiar hosted by Club Prana. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door, VIP tickets are $60; couples packages are available. The party takes place on all five floors of the club with a balloon drop, champagne toast, and view of the fireworks at midnight. More information can be found at clubprana.com.

Where to Celebrate New Year’s 2015 in Tampa Bay

As 2014 comes to a close, the Tampa Bay region has plenty of activities and events to usher in 2015.  Whatever your style, there’s a way to celebrate the new year for everyone.

“First Night St. Petersburg” Family friendly event including music, light show, and firework shows (8 p.m. and midnight). Tickets range from $10-$15. Straub Park beginning at 4 p.m December 31. For more information call (727) 823-8906.

“Noon Year’s Eve” A countdown to noon including games, entertainment, and a juice toast.  Tickets range from $19.95 to $24.95.  Lowry Park Zoo beginning at 9:30 a.m. December 31.  For more information visit www.lowryparkzoo.com

New Year's in Tampa Bay

“Aqua-Eve” A 21 and over party with food, beer, and wine and a view of the Channelside fireworks at midnight.  Tickets are $110. Florida Aquarium beginning at 9:00 p.m. December 31.  For more information visit www.flaquarium.com

“Channelside Lights Up the Bay” The annual event includes live music and DJs, a ball drop, and fireworks at midnight.  Admission is free.  Channelside Bay Plaza beginning at 8:00 p.m. December 31.  For more information visit www.channelsidebayplaza.com

“Outback Bowl and Parade”  Marching bands, cheerleaders, and fans of Wisconsin and Auburn universities team up for a parade before the big game on Thursday.  Parade marches down Ybor City’s Seventh Avenue beginning at 5:30 p.m. December 31.  The Outback Bowl begins at 12:00 p.m. January 1 at Raymond James Stadium.  Tickets range from $80-$170.  For more information visit www.outbackbowl.com
